About
Hi, I’m Autumn Fiordland—a lifelong horse lover, advocate for second chances, and co-founder of the Fiordland Equestrian Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Program (FETRP). Horses have been part of my life for over 20 years, and I’ve always believed in the quiet strength and unspoken wisdom they carry. Founding FETRP wasn’t just about creating a program—it was about building a safe haven where retired racehorses could rediscover who they are, beyond the finish line.
As Executive Director, I oversee everything from daily horse care to long-term strategic planning, community partnerships, and educational outreach. But my favorite moments still happen in the barn—when a nervous horse starts to trust again, or when we send a rehabbed Thoroughbred off to a loving new home. That’s the heartbeat of this work, and it’s what keeps me going every day.
Outside the arena, I’m a strong believer in sustainable horse care, community education, and the power of connection between humans and animals. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built here at FETRP, and even more excited about where we’re headed next.
